Description

In 1994, brewing returned to Fox Head in the form of a micro-brewery. A group of brewing enthusiasts was searching for a spot to produce their own beer, and stumbled upon the aging Fox Head facility on Maple Ave.

They were impressed with the old building, but they confined their operations to the former “government room” in the basement of the bottling plant. Brett and Wendy Remington, Scott Watson Donald, Christina Hoeth and Steve and Debbie Smith invested money and labor into transforming the basement facility into a micro-brewery. Members of the Heuss family resurrected some of the old recipes. The young brewers attempted to recreate some of the old beers. After overcoming many challenges, beer once again flowed from the Fox Head facility.

The partnership was eventually disbanded as people left, and the remaining group brewed under the Watson Brewery label. Listed on the back of the shirt are the signature beers: Amber Ale, Old Waukesha Ale, Nocturne Ale, Blond Bock and Rye. This T-shirt is a reminder of the early efforts to revive brewing in the former Fox Head facility.
